Saturday 30th May 2009 saw The Orb Whisperers fronting a charity ghost hunt for our friends The Gainsborough Lions at The Old Nick Theatre, Gainsborough, Lincolnshire. Originally a Victorian court room and police station the - aptly named - Old Nick is now a working theatre providing regular entertainment to the townsfolk of 21st century Gainsborough. Our interest lay in the townsfolk of Victorian Gainsborough however, and in a night full of unexplained events and sold out tickets we were able to capture the atmosphere and echoes which manifest within the theatre walls after dark.....!

....seat C3 (below) was the focus of attention throughout the evening as various people reported picking up anomalies in or around it, it's location within the theatre would correspond approximately with the position of the Victorian Magistrates seating arrangements.

Below: Orbies guest Tegwen took this snap of her group in the Auditorium. The area where the girls are sitting was once the site of the Magistrates' Bench. A host of orbs appear above the girls - including a spectacular orange one!
In the former Magistrates' Robing Room (below), a dense light anomaly was picked up...
Below: A light anomaly passes across Orbie Carol's face in the Old Receiving Room, it was in this area that we experienced an energy so powerful that it physically lifted Keith from his chair...
