The Orb Whisperers, taking no chances and being fully aware of the 'digi-sceptics' out there, film all of our investigations with both analogue and digital cameras in order to compare, contrast and double check our results...

 

EMF Meters

Our EMF, or Gauss Meters, tell us when there are fluctuations in electromagnetic frequency in the environment around us...

 

Beam Breakers

 

Our Beam Breakers, or alarms, will sound if anything passes between them in a sealed off area during an investigation.  These are ideal for placing in areas where 'trigger objects' have been set up or a camera locked off.

 

Two Way Radios

The classic 'walkie talkie'!  Invaluable for keeping in touch with Team B or the Control Room when out and about on an investigation.  It's imperative that we are able to contact one another at any one give time, not only to shout "Flippin Heck! I think I have something here!" (or similar!) but also to radio in a "Mayday!" if any of our people run into trouble.

 Infra Red Thermometer

Sometimes, in true ghost-hunter tradition, the temperature really does drop suddenly and a savage coldness descends seemingly out of nowhere.  Our infra red digital thermometers enable us to check not only the temperature of our immediate environment but also to take readings from other areas within range in order to isolate 'cold spots' for further investigation.

 The Stills Camera

We encourage all of our ghost hunters and guests to bring one of these along to hunts!  You simply never know when 'a shot in the dark' will yield something quite unexpected!

The Planchette

 

Getting very technical now!  The planchette is used to try to encourage any spirit entities present to communicate with our investigators by using our energies to move the planchette and leave  an image or message on the paper underneath.  straight lines and scribbles are the most common result of this experiment and - crucially - unlike the ouija board it leaves the spirit communicating no room for manouver and is therefore less likely to put the wind up users! (Note: The Orb Whisperers do not condone the use of ouja boards under any circumstances).

The Trusty Torch

Gotta have one!  All of our investigators are armed with one of these.  We recommend torches with a wrist strap and a beam which can be seen from the space shuttle (well, almost!).

 

Batteries

Can never have too many of these!  Spirit entities need energy to be able to manifest and they don't seem to be too bothered where it comes from!  Torches, cameras, emf meters and thermometers are all prone to repeat draining when used out in the field.  A supply of batteries may be heavy to lug round with you, but you'll need them!
