Arnold's Diner on Egerton Street in Wrexham, North Wales, is THE place to hang out if - like us - you're a fan of good ole 1950's and 60's music and atmosphere!  Many of The Orb Whisperers remember it from it's previous incarnation as The Thirsty Scholar and some of us can hark back to the days when it was The Egerton Arms back in the 1980's.

The building itself goes back a lot further than the days of Dynasty, ankle socks with court shoes and Glasnost however!  A trip down the back stairs leads into a cellar deep within which lies the entrance to an old tunnel which runs under the town to the old War Memorial Hospital.  The pub was exorcised by a local vicar a few years back at the request of a previous landlady following reports of disturbances within.  At 2.00 a.m. on the morning of Sunday 7th December 2008, The Orb Whisperers were granted access to the building to determine whether all was quiet at last at Arnold's Diner....
