Here at The Orb Whisperers we don't just go galloping around the countryside loaded up with equipment endeavouring to capture images and sounds which just might eminate from beyond the grave!  We also spend time analysing our locations and - where possible - confirming whether or not there is any documented substance to the stories, legends and individuals we're dealing with.

We also take seriously the thoughts, feelings and impressions picked up by our psychics and the rest of the team or indeed members of the public.  These matters are documented and are then subject to research by one of our historians so that we are able to build a clearer picture of events which may have been picked up on and - if possible - substantiate them.

 "What IS the paranormal all about?" (LW, California, USA)

Good question! In general the 'paranormal' is a term coined to cover unusual or unexplained happenings for which there is no absolute scientific explanation! It doesn't only apply to ghosts and 'things which go bump in the night' but is often also applied to such events as UFO sightings etc.
The Orb Wisperers (www.theorbwhisperers.com) are ghost hunters and paranormal investigators, so although our primary area of research is the wonderful world of spirit we wouldn't be averse to following a mysterious light up a mountain either!
Anywhere can be 'haunted', doesn't need to be a crumbling old castle with a history of bloodshed, it could be a brand new home built just last week or a modern factory full of brand spanking new machienery, could even be an open field with nothing in it but grass or corn. What matters is what WAS there, what became attached or bound to a place somewhere in time to the extent that it was either absorbed into the material of the place and replays life-defining events over and over again or makes a conscious decision not to leave, even after death.

"I have heard of spiritual imprinting is that what your talking about? also do you find more activity in old grave yards?" (LW, California, USA)

Yes and no with regard to spiritual imprinting! Some 'ghosts' - in the main the ones which are seen to walk the same route without variance or regard to those who witness their progress -  could best be described as 'loop videos'. Basically their residual energy has imprinted itself on a location which, during their lifetime, was the stage upon which a great emotional event of whatever nature was played out. The raw emotional energy which they felt at the time has been absorbed into the very fabric of the place and is released at the same frequency over and over again across the years.
Energies which interact with the living are entirely different, think of them as having the 'power of cognisant thought' in that they can be aware - as indeed we can be aware when we encounter them - that they are not alone and recognise that we are there. These souls are not on video loop, very often they have unfinished business or just plain simple don't want to go!

Old graveyards? Not so much suprisingly. Although spooky at night (yey for Hollywood lol) unless a soul has a reason for frequenting that specific location then no, they tend to be as quiet as erm...the grave! They're places of Christian burial more often than not remember, the little piece of earth where the Christian dead of centuries past lie facing the East asleep at last!
